Butler County High Point Trip Report

The highpoint is located off I-65 at exit #130 six miles to the northwest then north on H185. Using
DeLorme, page #51, turn right at the "185" highway symbol on the map page north of Ft. Dale. This dirt
road leads up to Barganier Lookout Tower as shown on the topo map. The lookout tower no longer exists.
One can drive 0.5 miles along dirt road until it splits then walking is best.
Continue up the hill watching for wild turkeys. On top of the hill you must go into thick brush to ensure
high area is properly covered. Area to the south looks deceptively higher, but is not, after going there and
looking back.
