Houston County High Point Trip Report

There is one area of 380+ feet elevation in Houston County.
It lies in a westward-projecting "tongue" of the county, about midway between
Geneva and Dale Counties.
From the intersection of US 84 and AL 123, go west on
84 about a half mile. Park on the side of the road. The high area will be about a half mile
due north on a section line and on the border between a wood lot and a field.
Walk north through either field to access the HP. If you're doing this through the
eastern field proceed to its northern end, then bushwhack through a narrow tree lot
to the western field and go another 50 yards north to the HP.
