The highpoint areas of Clay County are reached by going east of McDougal and the junction of 62 and 141 for 2.7 miles on US 62 to Clay County Road (CCR) 449. Go south on CCR 449 0.7 mile up Crowleys Ridge passing a few houses until reaching a posting, there is a gate 0.3 mile south of the posting. The gate was open when I was there so I drove through, passing a house on the west side of the road. I continued uphill past a lake toward a house on top of the ridge. I stopped and knocked at the house but got no answer. I continued to drive south about 0.2 mile to a road-cut that bisected the two northern highpoint areas.

The areas are at the edge of a pasture in short grass. I found the BM on the western of the two areas. I hand leveled between the two areas and the eastern area near a fence line was higher.

I continued south to the third area. From the third area I could see the two northern areas and hand leveled from this point. The area appeared to be lower, I back sighted from the eastern most northern area and confirmed that the southern most area was lower.

I drove out the way I came in and encountered no one.
