Craighead County High Point Trip Report

Craighead County's highpoints are located north of Jonesboro on Highway 351.

From the junction of State Highways 358 and 351 in Greene County, it is 3.2 miles south to the Craighead County line, passing the Crowleys Ridge Speedway along the route. The highpoints are located about 0.1 mile south of the county line.

The first gravel drive on the west splits the highpoints on the west side of Highway 351. The highpoint on the east side of 351 is north of a gravel drive to a house. The highpoints on the west side of the road are inside a barbed wire fence just inside the gate of the gravel drive near the highway right-of-way. The highpoint on the east side of the road is just outside the highway right-of-way in the front yard of a house, there are postings just beyond this area.

Using a hand level I was unable to tell if any of the areas are higher than the others, so touch them all. It looks like the original highpoint contour was bisected by the State Highway then cut again by the gravel drive on the west side of the highway. The latitude and longitude of the northwestern most highpoint area are (35.96469° N, 90.62253° W).
