Drew County High Point Trip Report

two areas (420+ ft)

Well, the one tiny area in section 2 is definitely, 100% man made. It lies in a logging company area and I drove into it and asked if I could head on over to it. The highest point that day had a few loggers on top cutting wood into smaller pieces. Even if it was in contention, it is clearly lower than the point that is visible from it.

I don't have exact directions for the other 2 points. Just what I came across while out there due to the wealth of streets on the route to the rural area. The 2 other points are not visible from each other due to trees in the area but the northern point had a slightly higher altimeter reading. Less than 10 feet or so. Also most of the northern area has been stripped away (for its nice red dirt?). A good strip is still left of it and the strip appears to still have the highest point of the area. The southern point is dissected by a decent sized road. Topo maps showed a higher point on the South side of the road. Ventured into the thick shrubs for quite a way but the ground more seemed to fall away than get higher. Enter this thick area at your own risk. The land on the North side of the road appeared higher.
