8 areas (540+ ft)

Now these took a lot longer to get than I had planned. I spent a good 3 - 4 hours working on all 8 areas. Don't have the exact mileage and so forth. Just a few field notes to pass along.

The 4 areas on the McCaskill Quad are easily reached, but one. Northernmost spot requires some tricky work to wiggle under a barbed-wire fence. Andy's book mentions that they're by the RR tracks. Well, the railroad tracks have since been torn out. All of the spots do appear to be at the same elevation.

The other 4 areas on the Nashville and Nathan Quads are a bit trickier. Some of the areas are in thick brush but most of them are in open fields where hand leveling can eliminate a lot of work. The definite standout in the whole lot seems to be one of the contours that is split in half on each quad. Right above the "A" in Nashville on the Nashville Quad. It lies in a pasture behind a house and lots of cows. Fortunately, the owner was there and I was able to gain permission to venture into the small field. He occupied the cows for me. Hand-leveling shows it might be just about 6 inches or so higher than spot elevation 540 ft on the Nashville Quad. Have fun repeating this one.
