Skyline Road is signed no parking all along near the trail head. The only available parking is about 1/4 - 1/2 mile north at the main parking area for Castle Rock State park. Walk up the main road to the second dirt access road on the right, then take the left fork through the barbed-wire-wrapped gate. The Christmas tree farm was closed, but we had previously met the property owner. Some trees have been recently felled near the monument and there is a lot of logs and slash about, but the monument is still easily found.
