Tolland County Highpoint Trip Report

If you get the google maps first, you can save yourself some time if you are
coming off of the Interstate. I got to the Bradway's house on George Heck Road
easily enough. Nice folks and we had a discussion on cow dogs (mine was in the car).
After I got their permission to access the top of the hill, I continued
on George Heck Road which became dirt but also took me right to New City Road.
Followed previous directions and parked at the communications tower.
From there, continue on the obvious snowmobile trail, all the while saying to yourself,
"Andy would have done this one." At the field, head uphill along the
edge of the woods until the corner of the field then bushwhack up through the
reasonably open woods. Found the three "frog" rocks but from each of them the
other two looked higher. If someone could bring a scope, we could figure out
which is the highest.
If you come in via 190 and Stafford, note "Packard Ridge Road".
