Whitfield County High Point Trip Report

From I-75 north, take exit 320 for Resaca and GA 136. Turn left onto GA 136 and travel 6.7 miles to the
first stop sign. Turn right and travel 0.2 miles to Forest Road 212 on your right. Turn right onto FR 212
and travel 0.3 miles to a fork in the road. Take the left fork. From this fork travel 1.7 miles to an
unnamed gap. Bear to the left. This is FR 212B; however, it is unsigned. Travel 2.2 miles on FR 212B
to a turnaround. Park here.
From the parking area proceed west up a fairly steep grade to the top of the ridge. Turn left (south) and
travel to the highpoint.
From the point you turn off the highway onto FR 212, you will be on National Forest land all the way to
the highpoint.
