on Chestnut Mtn (1,847 ft)

I followed Kevin Williamson's brief but entirely adequate report.
Conditions are unchanged from when he did this cohp. The bushwhack to the ridge is
moderately steep but otherwise not difficult. The summit is marked by a couple
of hundred feet of rocky outcrop and there are two or three rocks that need to
be stood upon.
On my way out, I met a sheriff coming in. He was looking for a white Jeep Cherokee.
I told him that my car was the only one that had been up there while
I was there and he thanked me as it saved him from driving all the way to the turnaround.
