Pocahontas County Highpoint Trip Report

Pocahontas County's highpoint is located in Section 6 of Swan Lake Township
on the Palo Alto County Line near the quadpoint with Clay and Buena Vista Counties.
I visited there on May 3, 2005, shortly before sunset.
From the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and County Road C13 in Sioux Rapids,
I drove east on C13 for 8.9 miles and continued straight on 430th Street
for 4 more miles to the county line.
I turned left onto 250th Ave/100th Ave, and drove north on this road for a
little over one mile, and turned right onto 420th St.
I drove east on the county line road for 0.19 mile and parked at the road crest.
I walked into the field for 2 minutes and claimed the highpoint.
