Driving/hiking directions
From US-52 and IA-9 just west of Decorah, zero odometer. 
 
 0.0  US-52 and IA-9, go north on US-52. 
12.7  Burr Oak Road, A-18 - continue straight (north). 
15.7  State Line Road - turn right (east) - continue straight onto dirt road along the state line. 
16.7  228th Avenue - turn right (south). 
17.4  White house - park - ask permission to roam area #1. 
18.1  Back at State Line Road - park. 
       
      Check out the area west of the home at 1387, in the trees.  
 
       
      You're still in area #1. 
18.1  State Line Road - turn right (east). 
19.1  Prairie Spring Road - turn right (south). 
19.3  High point in the road - park. 
       
      Roam the area (Area #2). This is a large area and took me 40 minutes to explore. 
19.3  Prairie Spring Road - continue straight (south). 
20.1  County Road A-14 - turn left (east). 
21.1  Dirt turns to pavement at W-34 Road - go straight (east). 
22.6  High point in the road - park. 
       
      I hiked south 0.2 mile along the edge of a cornfield, 
       
      then into the corn a few rows for area #3, a tiny bump. 
You can return to W-34 Road and go south on it to US-52 in about 8 miles.
