Pulaski County High Point Trip Report

Author: John Mitchler

Located at the southern tip of IL, this cohp consists of 2 areas, one in pasture and one in a woods. Jon Mann's description is accurate. I, too, received no answer at the north-area farmhouse so I strolled south to the HP. Lots of poison ivy and briars in June. Naturally, I was in shorts.

I found nobody home at the south-area (Rankins) which is good since my head looks better on my shoulders than in their trophy case. The numerous dogs were noisy until I sat on the porch steps and talked to them. They calmed down right quick and we became friends. The stroll to the south-area HP follows a road of sorts, behind the house.
