Vanderburgh County High Point Trip Report

Leave Interstate 64 at Exit 18, and drive south for 4.9 miles on Indiana Route 65, passing by the "town" of Armstrong to a yellow blinker at an intersection. Turn left (east) and go 1.1 miles to Bromm Road. Turn right (south) on Bromm and drive 0.9 mile to Henry Lane. Drive all the way to the end of Henry Lane where you will see a large gray house. This is the home of John and Julie Talley (11921 Henry Lane), a friendly, happy couple who generously allowed me to wander their front lawn in search of the county highpoint (they knew they lived at the highpoint).

The highest spot appears to be just north of their drive as it curves in toward their house at (38 deg 5.304 min N, 87 deg 37.359 min W). This little wooded knoll was a pleasant respite from the flat, boring scenery I drove through to get here.

The Posey County highpoint is just a few miles away, so consider visiting it as well when you come to this site.
