From the intersection of Routes 827 and 404 just east of the settlement of Oak Hill, drive east on Route 404 for 2 miles to Elk Road. Turn left and drive north on Elk Road for 2 miles. The second mile is basically a dirt track which would be extremely hazardous in wet weather.

Park at spot elevation 1427 between two gates (none posted). Cross the gate into the northeast pasture and hike across the draw about 0.35 mile to the obvious ridge. The highest ground seems to be a few hundred feet north of four trees out in the pasture. The farmer 1 mile down the road told me this land is owned by Mr. Bob Heilman who lives in Clay Center (785 632-5717, office 632-2601).
