If coming from the east on I-70, take exit 316 and KS-177 south. I came from
the west so took I-70, exit 300 at KS-57 and zeroed my odometer.
0.0   I-70 at KS-57 – Go south on KS-57.
17.0 Avenue A (Tri County Road, gravel) – Turn left (east).
20.3 Black mailbox on left and driveway on right – Park.
I got permission to hike from a guy working on a tractor. He called it Grady Hill.
Hop the fence and hike 0.3 mile north through the hayfield to the highest point.
Everything looked downhill from there but there were a few branches of
the large 1540+ foot area that couldn’t be seen in its entirety. So I roamed
around a lot. It’s a big area but all leveled lower than the 1550+ foot point.
My altimeter concurred. There is only one point in contention for the highest
in the county in my opinion.
