About 3 miles southwest of Sandy Hook on KY7, go south on KY702 and follow it
about 2.5 - 3 miles to a crest. Park on either side of the road in nice dirt
parking areas. We chose the one on the left, next to the box of 4 orange tabby
kittens that came out to greet us. From here hike south on the nice ATV trail
0.4 mile and hike off-trail about 200 feet with 80 feet of vertical gain to the
summit of the first 1360 contour. Return to the ATV trail (shown on the topo)
east and northeast about 0.6 mile, bypassing another knob after 0.25 mile.
The ATV trail goes just left of the summit of this second 1360 contour. Walk over
the weeds about 10 feet south of the now faint road and return the way you came.
