Lincoln County Highpoint Trip Report

From Junction City at the junction of US127 and KY300, take KY300 west 0.8 mile
and turn left onto KY37. Drive another 8.3 miles and turn left onto Carpenter
Creek Road (the other roads on the Delorme do not go through). Drive south and
east 4.9 miles, then turn left onto a gravel road. Drive south on this road 1.5
miles to a driveway on the left, turn in, and get permission to park and hike at
the house at the end of the driveway. The owner, Billy Douglas, is very
friendly. His driveway is at the spot elevation 1381 on the topo, 0.5 mile
southwest of the CoHP.
From his drive, walk to the high ground along his fence,
open the electric fence gate, follow a grassy ridge north 200 feet, and cross a
gate on the right and continue into a field and a knoll. From here the open
field continues due east 0.2 mile to the highpoint.
