For the 2 western areas, start in Mays Lick at the intersection of Highway 68 and KY324. Go west on KY324 either 1.5 miles to the Hill house on the right, or 1.9 miles to the Boyd farm on the right. Nobody was home at the Hill house so we asked at a house down the road, and the woman there told us that Mr. Boyd shouldn't have a problem with us hiking. We parked near the barn at the crest of the road, left a note on the car, and hiked through the fields due north to the first area, about one-half mile. A young red fox was hanging around the barns, so we got some good looks at it before it decided to go hide in a nearby field.

This required two gate crossings. About halfway we noticed signs of recent travel through the high grass which went to the highpoint. From the first point, we went southeast, crossed a gate, then hiked to the second area, again noting a recent path from a CoHPer, deer, or local farmer. I forgot my hand level, so don't know which is higher but they are close together.

For the eastern 4 areas, return to Mays Lick at the same intersection above and drive east on KY324 for 0.3 mile, then south on KY161 2.8 miles to a gravel drive on the left. We drove to the house, which is being renovated, but nobody was home. We left a note on the car and hiked to the largest area first, northeast of the house.

The highest area was near a fence line, but still out in the field. From here hand-leveling indicated that the area to the southeast, which has been plowed recently, is lower, as well as the areas southwest of the house. Back-sighting also indicated this. The southwestern area is on the east side of KY161, 0.4 mile south of the driveway.

I'm still waiting to see if someone beat us here by a few hours or a day.
