This is a route that accesses the road reported by Levi Foust.
From the junction of US27KY92 in Pine Knot, take KY92 east about 6 miles to the junction with KY1470.
Zero your odometer and go south on KY1470 for 1.3 miles and turn left onto unsigned Ranger Rd/FR498.
Follow this gravel road to 1.8 miles and turn left onto signed FR6279, and follow this to mile 4.4 and park
off the road just before its crest at a curve. The woods along the ridge at this point are fairly open,
and the summit is about 1/4 mile due north and 200 feet higher. A little logging has taken place on the summit,
and the top is a bump in the woods.
