Perry County High Point Trip Report

BM Delphia (2,520+ ft)

Date: April 13, 2002
Author: Levi Foust

From the intersection of Route 160 and Route 522 in Sand Hill, just outside of Cumberland, take 160 North for 3.6 miles. Go straight onto 463. Drive 3.4 miles to the crest and 0.4 mile beyond the crest to little gravel offshoot on the left and park.

There's no easy way to hike straight to this one, as the mountains are steep and the vegetation is thick. A lot of the ground between the road and the highpoint has been altered for mining, but there are some mining roads which may be helpful to follow. Closer to the highpoint there is a well-worn ATV trail running along the ridge. The BM was easily spotted.
