From Mt. Eden take KY44/53 southeast for 3.0 miles and turn right onto gravel Farmers Trace, just south of the signed Shelby/Spencer county line. The land along this road is being sold as tracts, and the plot with the highpoint is sold, but nobody lives on it yet. We drove 0.3 mile up this road to its crest and turned right into a driveway with a house.

The owners were very friendly and said nobody would care, and verified that the fence line behind them is the county line. We hiked north through their backyard about 200 yards to the fence line, then to the right and back toward the road about 50 feet to the highest point on the ridge in the grassy field. There is a short gravel drive in the dip of the road at this lot, just next to a pond, where one could park and hike.
