Whitley County High Point Trip Report

two small areas 1 mile north of Henderson Grove Church (2,220+ ft)

This was the most difficult single highpoint that I have tackled. From the closest point that I could drive on the northern side I doubled in elevation gain from 1,100'. The whole northern side of the mountain had been logged at one time. The vegetation is thick with briars and plagued with nettle. The slope is nearly vertical at the top. Thankfully, there is an ATV trail running along the ridge-top making for swift travel. The round trip took me somewhere between 2 to 3 hours.
