An easy walk but if there was rain along the main logging road watch out, as the
road becomes a soggy clay-filled mess in places. As usual, I parked near the
Mt. Zion church and hiked the logging road from there to the cairn at the summit.
The church has a quaint cemetery and the circling buzzards add to the somewhat
eerie feeling. My favorite picture is a buzzard flying near the old, dead tree
in the cemetery.
