Carroll County High Point Trip Report

The field above Harvey Yingling Rd. is planted in soybeans but there were farm paths that allowed us to access the HP area without disturbing crops. We met an elderly couple that lives nearby; they said the field was owned by an absentee owner and was for sale (for development); they felt it would be fine to visit the HP.

We were able to find the BM. It is in a cluster of fairly dense 10-15' high vegetation directly under the power lines on top of the hill. Mowed power line access paths pass on both sides of this clump. Beware of the poison ivy.
