From the Kennebec/Androscoggin County line, go east 1.3 miles on ME 197.
Turn right (south) onto
West Road, cross over Maine Turnpike at 2.1 miles, and at 3.6 miles turn
into a drive-able gravel road
that leads to a tower on the summit. This road is immediately south of a
private driveway opposite
mailbox #899. West Road continues south to a junction with ME 125 in
Bowdoin Center. High ground is
at the tower, which was fenced but not locked.
