Exit US 23 at Tyrone Center (Center Road). Go east 1 mile on Center Road and turn left (north) on
Hartland Road. In 0.5 mile, turn right (east) on Foley Road, and continue for about 0.8 mile to the entrance
to the Kandahar Development (just building lots at the moment). This area used to be a ski area,
but is now being developed into hillside estates. Drive in the entrance, bear left at the first junction,
and then turn right at the second road. Drive to the end and park.
I hiked up a very steep path/ridge that is south of the road and was at the top in just a few minutes.
It is likely that this site will not be as accessible when homes are built here.
While you are in this area, consider visiting the two Genesee County highpoints which are only a few miles north.
