Swift County High Point Trip Report

Take CR 18 west from the Swift/Kandiyohi County line 1.9 miles to the junction with 160th Street, just south
of the lake, shown as a marsh on the topo. There is a farm along 160th Street, and I spoke with the farmer
(forgot to get name), who gave me permission and directions to drive to the high point. He had thought it
might be the county high point, and his wife is after him to build a house on the summit. I left him the
topozone printout. I drove west on CR 18 another 0.3 mile beyond the junction, and turned onto a farm
lane just before a no passing zone sign. This could be driven, post-harvest, by a passenger car,
0.4 mile to the summit.
Also check out a bump about 100 feet east of the high ground near the end of auto travel.
