Calloway County High Point Trip Report
Date: October 12, 2002

The hps of Audrain and Calloway counties are very close together. One access to the area is from I-70, exit
137 at Lindberg. From Lindberg, drive east a couple of miles and then turn north on road DD.
Drive straight north on DD for about 7 miles to the Calloway-Audrain county line at CR200 if you want to do
Audrain first. For Calloway first, go to a junction 1.5 miles south of the county line at CR292.
A large building sits on the southern hp area. Drive east from DD on CR292 for a quarter mile and turn
north into the facility. There is lots of disturbed ground and a walk around the major building gets you to
what is left of the hp area. In talking with employees there, one said they think this is the hp of the county.
The other 2 areas can be visited together. Parking places along roads in this area aren't easy to come by,
but there is a nice gravel pullout on the east side of road DD about a half mile north of CR292. Across the road,
on the west side, is a wide opening in the fence for a field access track. With permission, walk west to the
ridge and then head south to go the length of the 2 contours. The land has been leveled by cultivation and
there is no obvious single hp or much drop between the 2 areas.
