Clay County High Point Trip Report
Date: September 2001
Drive on US69 to Road D which leads east to Lawson. This intersection is just south of the Clinton-Clay
county line. From this point, drive almost a mile west to the home of John Atkins on the south side of the road,
where permission can be requested.
The walk to the highpoint starts from the road east of the Atkins residence. You can cross a low fence,
walk south in a grassy area left of some trees, and find the fairly prominent highpoint about 0.2 mile south of the road.
