Gasconade County High Point Trip Report

From I-44 exit 195 at St. James, drive north on paved road B. After about 10 miles, enter Gasconade county,
and just north of the county line, turn left and head west on road U. At 2 miles, turn right and head
north on CR644, which is Trainer Road. At 0.7 mile, you come to a T at CR646, which is Elk Head Road.
Turn left and follow CR646 a little over 2 miles to the obvious high point of the road. CR646 could be
followed from road B, but you get more good road by using road U.
The large wooded hp contour is crossed by CR646, with most of the area west of the road. It takes a good
bit of walking to cover the area, where there is no obvious single hp ground.
