Bob Martin's directions will get you to the road crest. Note the witness post and benchmark (RED 1947) on
the east side of the road, just inside the fence. Like others before me, I wandered around quite a bit in the
larger part of the wooded area on the west side of the road. I found very little in the way of relief on that
side and came to the conclusion that the highest ground was in the small part of the area on the eastern side
of the road, up in the field. Decide for yourself.
