Greene County High Point Trip Report

This is an easy one, but you need to get permission from the neighbor who owns the land.

Reach it from I-44 on exit # 88 in Strafford. Go north on 125 about 5 miles to Bassville, a junction which is 125 and either A or KK, depending on the map. Signs say both. Go back south 1/2 mile to a small right cutoff onto gravel, signed 223. Go south 1.2 miles to a rise. There is a radio tower to the east side, and a significantly higher microwave tower and building on the west side. Beware, the drive up into the microwave tower lane has an almost invisible 2-strand wire electric fence across the base of it, which I blew through in the dusk. Bummer.

The neighbor, Don Glenn, came out as we were retreating to the radio tower parking area on the east side. He said it happened all the time. He was pretty cool about it, and we helped him repair it. There is a BM by the front of the building, and it is the highest spot.
