Ripley County High Point Trip Report

From Highway J in Oregon County, just north of the Irish Wilderness area, take Forest Road 3224 to the
east for 1.1 miles to a crest in the road just east of the Ripley County line. The highpoint is located in a briar
patch just south of the road. The area is non-descript and the only reason for being there is that it was a
county highpoint. The area is relatively flat so one must walk around and be stuck by the limitless briars to
claim this one. This was a really sorry highpoint, in my book.
