Benton County High Point Trip Report

Took Salsbury Rd N from US 72 in northern MS past Hopewell and went west 0.5 mile on a road a little
south of the MS-TN state line. Parked.
Bushwacked south through fields, woods tracks, bushes, poison ivy, blackberry bushes to Malone BM (771)
and 760+ hill to the south. Used GPS, compass and USGS map. Both hills checked perfectly with GPS.
Found the Malone BM next to a witness post with no sign in 4-foot tall grass.
Trip statistics: 2.25 hours, 3 miles, 400 feet of gain.
