From French Camp in Choctaw County go west on Highway 407 for about 5 miles (this mileage is not exact) to Thompson Road on the south side of Highway 407. Proceed 0.4 mile south on Thompson Road to an intersection with a road from the east, turn left (east) on this road 0.1 mile to a gate. The gate was open the day I was there, on the gate there is a large stop sign. Continue on the road for another 0.3 mile coming to a pipe gate, the gate was open. Thence continue 0.9 mile to a road intersection stay left at the intersection, then continue 0.1 mile to another intersection. At this intersection stay right and continue 0.6 mile to another road intersection. From this intersection go right, the road from this intersection on was quite muddy in the saddle approaching the highpoint ridge, so parking at this intersection may be necessary. Continue on this road 0.2 mile to a intersection on the ridge top and turn right and then continue another 0.1 mile to the summit area the highest area appeared to be on the east side of the road in a high grass, brushy area. There were no negative postings seen on this route.
