Scott County High Point Trip Report

Scott County MS is a extremely accessible and an easily reached highpoint, located next to a road in a
state park less than a mile from I-20.
Exit I-20 at exit 77 (Mississippi 13). Go north 3/4 of a mile, past turnoff for Roosevelt SP. Turn left at
scenic lookout sign. Go uphill 1/10 mile to T, turn right. High point is at top of hill, at the road cut on
the left side. I was not able to find the benchmark (dark, and covered with leaves), but did find a witness
post. I walked the entire high area of the hill (only 20 yards or so each way). There where some brambles
on the hill top that made for some sticky going (especially since I was still in my business clothes!).
