I did it the EZ way - got a street motorcycle to here. From there it is a 4,000 ft uphill grind on trail, but not too long a hike in miles. Don't think you can drive that high today, parking a jeep to the NW at 4,000 ft would be your best bet. That would add another 600 ft of gain - a looong day.

Also, chances are good of snow on Mica on New Years. If it is more than a couple inches you are in for some tough going.
