On the Ash River NE
MN Quad the road crossing the NF boundary into the NP is now a beautiful
paved road leading N to a visitor center. Patricia McCairen and I
stopped on this road at the 1200 foot saddle and found an old track-
path leading to a tall communications tower at the word "Tower".
No good view.
Trip statistics: 2 miles, 1.5 hours duration, 200 ft elevation gain.
