Cleveland County Highpoint Trip Report

I had avoided doing this one due to the several trip reports reporting a 10+ mile round trip, regardless of approach. I took a back way into the gated community, the first right past Mount Gileed Church, which is dirt but eventually turns to pavement. I did not enter Pine Ridge Community through the part where there is a gate house with security, though I left this way. The back way in had a gate but it was open. I drove Pine Ridge Road, paved 2/3 of the way and dirt 1/3 of the remaining way, to within a 1/4 mile of the summit where I parked at a yellow gate.

I walked a few hundred yards to the summit. No BM found, likely buried or removed or destroyed when the radio tower was put in. I think the HP is inside the fence, though a strong candidate exists just to the left of the end of the gravel road at the fence entry, just outside the fence. I still think it is inside, to the left, in front of the concrete/stone shed near the towers.
