Gaston County Highpoint Trip Report
The Pinnacle, Kings Mtn (1,690 ft)

Used the Crowder Mountain State Park web site directions which were sufficient.
I-85 southbound -> exit 13 to Edgewood Road -> At 1st light-> Right onto
Franklin Blvd -> 2 miles to light -> left onto Sparrow Springs Road ->
approximately 3 miles to the park.
From the park headquarters, take the orange blazed Pinnacle Trail to the top.
It was rocky in places and a shade steep just after the 1460+ saddle but
otherwise faster than I had expected.
The park brochure indicates the Pinnacle Trail is 1.7 miles,
but I felt it was closer to 1.25.
