From exit 49 off Interstate 77 in Statesville, zero odometer - drive East on US 70.
Road log:
10.5 miles Turn left at a signal onto Main Street. Go through Cleveland.
The road name changes to Old Highway 70.
12.7 miles Turn left at the sign for the Morning Star Baptist Church.
13.3 miles You're at the top of Young's Mountain.
