Boyd County High Point Trip Report

twelve areas (2,200+ ft)

This is a very interesting county. While there are twelve areas, a single huge one covers almost a square mile, and is much larger than all the rest combined.

Drive NE12 to a point a mile east of the Boyd-Keya Paha county line. Drive 2 miles north and turn west on a road that shows as road 12 on the topo. This will put you into the large contour. You can drive north and south on the county line and spend a lot of time with your level. It's tough to find anything higher than the two 2206 spot elevations on the county line. We visited some of the smaller contours, but all of them level out lower than the large one.
