From Erickson, drive east on NE70 and NE91 about a mile and a half to a road leading north. Follow this road as it turns east and then north. Soon after it turns east again, park. With permission, walk north a little more than a mile in pasture to four of the areas that are very close together. The highest of the four is obvious.

The other area is more remote. Drive east a mile to a road leading north. Generally follow county roads 6 miles north, 4 miles west, and 4 miles north. Here you should be about 2 miles east of the hp, which is Buffalo BM. With permission, walk the 2 miles west, up and down, in pasture, to the BM.

This is one of the most interesting BMs we have found. Monumented by the Coast and Geodetic Survey in 1900, it is composed of 4 squares of marble with the letters USCS embedded. Reference marks were added in 1949 and are of the conventional type.
