Atlantic County High Point Trip Report

two areas 1,200 feet east of Rosedale (150+ ft)

Update to my April 1999 report. Cedarbrook Road is CR 561. The scramble up the brushy banks from the railroad cut is almost guaranteed to pick up ticks, except during winter.

An alternative route is to look for a berm at the far end of the stone parking area at the railroad grade crossing. Hop over the berm and follow a somewhat overgrown path to the high ground northeast of the tracks, which is a few feet higher than the top of the cut. In my opinion, the area about 150 feet away from the cut is the highest around, surpassing that on the southwest side of the cut, which does not rise from the top of the cut.
