Burlington County High Point Trip Report

Arney's Mount

Dan Case's report of June 2001 will get you to the top(s). His comment about the brush not being as thick as I described in 1996 is very interesting. I felt the same way today. In 1996, I had probably only done a handful of bushwhacks, none of them comparable to the ugly ones done in the past three years, and so Arney's Mound seemed very overgrown. From the perspective of today, it's a walk in the park.

On the hike up the ridge from behind the church, heading southwest, work to the left side of the ridge and pick up a good trail that takes you maybe 2/3 of the way to the summit before it ambles off to the left, leaving an easy bushwhack to the very disturbed summit area. Pick your bump and take your picture.
