From the Texas Mexico border on NM route 19, continue west to NM 209. Turn right (N) on 209. Shortly, 209 veers 90 degrees west, stay with it. About 4 miles past the curve, watch for the Quay County line. Right at the boundary is a dirt county road to the north. Turn right, and follow it 2 miles to a junction. At that junction, the road turns left, with fences right and straight ahead. The map shows the HP to be right at the corner of the county, which is at the junction. Wander around to get the highest natural point.
