Washoe County Highpoint Trip Report

A crucial trail junction is at the base of waterfall, which was running even in September.
Turn right on the well-marked trail and follow it a couple tenths of
a mile to a signed junction at 2.6 miles from the trailhead. This sign is near
the lowest point on the route and points the way toward the summit 2.7 miles beyond.
The last 1.3 miles begins at the first saddle, continues to a second saddle,
ascends a half a dozen switchbacks, and continues to the top.
Total distance is 10.6 miles roundtrip and about 2000 feet of gain.
Nice views of Lake Tahoe to the south.
