Franklin County High Point Trip Report

Date: June 5, 2001
Author: Bob Packard

My first hp on this trip with a companion, Will Barrett from MA who wanted this badly as one of the 4000 footers in the Adirondacks. I did Seward and Donaldson signing registers on both. I waited at Donaldson in the rain while Will went on to do Emmons with its register.

I'd had enough of the wet, the mud, the muck, the slop, the slippery rocks and tree roots. Neither Donalson nor Emmons are even close to summits using the 300' rule. No views, bad weather.
