Monroe County Highpoint Trip Report

Sunday morning. This turned out to be a pleasant surprise CoHP. I followed Mike Schwartz's excellent report and when I arrived at the point to find a place to park, I noticed a house up on the hill to the left (north). I drove up and found the owner of the land on which this highpoint resides. Mr. Stephen Limbeck was very congenial and we had a very good "gab fest". He then got out his ATV and took us to within a hundred yards of the CoHP. Then Marilyn waited at the truck and Stephen took me on his ATV about 1/4 mile to Hoppers Hill BM, dated 1943, placed there by the Coast Guard.
